Paid fourth year Audiology externship position at Sonus Hearing Care professionals in the Encino and Northridge branch locations.

Under the mentorship and supervision of a licensed audiologist, the extern will develop their skills in diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation. Training will include diagnostic testing, impedance audiometry, play audiometry, speech discrimination testing, hearing aid and cochlear implant evaluations, fitting, and follow-up. Populations seen include Adults and pediatrics. Extern will also assist with other department duties as requested by the program director.

Requirements:

​

  • Obtain temporary license and apply for RPE with the state of California Department of consumers affairs

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation abilities

  • Ability to operate PC based software programs or data base management systems

  • Knowledge of computers, faxes, printers, and all other equipment.

  • Proficient in MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint).

  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented

Work Environment:

​

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

​

Salary and Benefits Package:

  • $20 - $22 hourly

Schedule:

​

  • 8 hour shift – 8:30 AM to 5 PM

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Friday
